FlashBack Cam
Your phone captures everything. This one decides what's worth keeping.
A brass-and-oxblood pocket camera built to shoot like the 2000s and charge like it's today. 4K. 16× optical. Flip-up hood. The grain is real.
Issued in five finishes · Oxblood, Onyx, Olive, Cream, Champagne
The hood opens. The shot changes.
Four things your phone won't do
Built to be held, not swiped.
Every part of this camera exists to slow you down by about four seconds. That's the whole product.
16× optical. Not a crop.
Real glass moves. Your phone throws away pixels and calls it zoom — this doesn't.
Flip the hood. Shoot from the hip.
A waist-level finder that actually opens. Nobody poses when the lens isn't in their face.
4K that keeps the grain.
Sharp enough to print. Warm enough that it still looks like a memory, not a scan.
USB-C. Same cable as your phone.
No proprietary brick, no hunting through a drawer. Plug in, walk out.
Brass hardware, exposed screws
Knurled collar, real travel
The case against perfect
Perfect photos are forgettable.
Your phone smooths your skin, fixes your lighting and corrects the one blur that made the night feel like something. You have eight thousand photos. You've looked at nine.
FlashBack Cam doesn't correct you. Flash blooms. Colour runs warm. Grain stays. What comes out looks like it happened — because it did.

Straight answers
The questions people actually ask.
Is the 16× zoom really optical, or a digital crop?
The collar drives the lens group — you're moving glass, not enlarging pixels. Push it to the far end and detail holds instead of turning to mush, which is exactly where phone zoom falls apart.
Does the flip-up hood actually work, or is it decoration?
It's hinged and functional. It folds flat into the top plate for transport and pops up into a waist-level finder so you frame looking down. Shooting from the chest instead of the face is why the photos feel candid.
Is the gold trim going to peel or discolour?
It's a plated metal finish over the frame, not a printed sticker or painted plastic strip. Pocket use, bag friction and daily handling won't lift it. Keep it away from solvents and alcohol wipes — a dry microfibre cloth is all it needs.
Do I need a memory card?
Yes — a microSD card is required and isn't included. Any standard 32GB–64GB card is plenty: hours of 4K and thousands of stills. Format it in-camera on first use.
Is this a toy? It looks very small.
Compact by design — the point is that it lives in a coat pocket instead of a camera bag. Rigid frame, metal hardware, controls with real detents. It's a small camera, not a novelty.
Why use this when I already have a phone?
Because your phone is trying to make every photo look correct and this one isn't. Flash bloom, warm cast, honest grain, and a finder that makes you think for a second before you press. If you want another algorithm-approved image, your phone is fine.
How fast is shipping, and what if I don't like it?
Dispatched within 24–48 hours with tracking emailed the moment your parcel moves. Standard delivery lands in roughly 5–9 business days. If it isn't for you, return it within 30 days for a full refund — no interrogation.
